Forbes 2017 Top 10 Richest Musicians in Africa
Century old bi-weekly published American business magazine, Forbes, which features original articles on finance, industry, investing, and marketing topics, has just released a compilation of the top 10 richest musicians in Africa for the year 2017.
With its motto as “The Capitalist Tool”, Forbes magazine also reports on subjects such as technology, communications, science, politics, and law, and has its headquarters located in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The mega-successful magazine is popular for its lists and rankings, including the Forbes 400 (of the richest Americans), the Forbes Global 2000 (of the world’s top companies), and The World’s Billionaires.
Not unlike other years, 2017’s Top 10 Richest Musicians in Africa list was put together based on such factors as endorsement deals, show rates, album sales, awards received, known investments, YouTube views, social media presence, appearances in newspapers, influence and sheer popularity. The latest list features 5 Nigerians, 2 South-Africans, 2 Zimbabweans, and 1 Senegalese and Ghanaian each.
With the spectacular 2017 that quite a number of African musical heavyweights had, ardent followers of the yearly Forbes’ Top 10 list must be anxious to see who’s dropped from the list and who’s new on it. Who moved up from their position the last list? Who dropped a couple of spots? And, of course, is there a new number 1?
