Snoop Dogg Broke the Guinness World Record for Biggest Gin and Juice
“Rollin down the street, smokin’ indo, sippin’ on…”
Remember this lyric? In case you don’t, the lyric is from Snoop’s 1994 hit song “Gin and Juice”.
This time, Snoop Dogg ain’t rapping. Instead, he’s set a place for himself in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest gin and juice.
During an appearance at BottleRock Napa Valley music festival alongside fellow West Coast rapper Warren G and Top Chef Season 6 winner Michael Voltaggio on Saturday; the legendary hip-hop artist made history with his signature gin and juice by mixing up the largest paradise cocktail, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Alongside Williams Sonoma, his friend and the chef, Snoop broke the Guinness World Record for biggest gin and juice by making a drink from 180 bottles of Hendricks gin, 154 bottles of apricot brandy and 38.378 jugs of orange juice.
Snoop then made a classic finish by garnishing the massive boozy drink with a massive drinking straw, pink parasol, and a garnish of pineapple and melon on a sword.
According to Guinness, the full cocktail weighed over 132 gallons; officially cementing Snoop’s place in gin and juice history.
For y’all who don’t remember, Snoop Dogg became popular in 1994 with the release of his second track ‘Gin and Juice’ off his debut album ‘Doggystyle’. It ranked eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
