Cassper Nyovest’s “Sweet and Short” Album Goes Platinum 1 Day After Release
South African rapper, Refiloe Maele Phoolo, popularly known as ‘Cassper Nyovest is giving us hustle and success goals and we’re definitely eating it up like melted butter on ice cream. If you think the year is already gone and nothing substantial can be achieved, think again!
The “Baby Girl” hitmaker has defied all odds and clinched a lot of achievements all in one weekend. Talk about goals!
Last week Saturday saw the South African hip-hop giant entertain a large crowd of over 70k at the Moses Mabhida Stadium; and also had the opportunity to meet American media personality, business mogul and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey.
And boy, did Cassper dazzle the hell outta fans as he took the stage at the Global Citizen Festival. To add icing to the cake, the SA rapper released “Timbuktu” alongside Chris Martin and Stormzy. If you aren’t counting, we are!
Now to the main juice, a day before the concert, Cassper released an EP titled “Sweet and Short” that went platinum in one day. Sharing the great news via social media with his fans and rocking just his abs worth drooling over.
“Shut down two stadiums back-to-back, my album Sweet and Short went platinum in a day. I also released an amazing record with Stormzy and Chris Martin called Timbuktu. This has been an amazing weekend for me. Blessings! God is good. Now I just wanna chill and swim,” Cassper said.
The album has 11 songs and features some of South Africa’s finest acts like Frank Casino, DJ Sumbody, Boskasie and Shwi Nomtekhala.
