Davido Opens Up On Why P-Square Couldn’t Perform At His 30 Billion Concert
Davido’s 30 Billion Concert – which, no doubt, wrapped up the superstar’s 2017 world tour in truly spectacular fashion – was a massive success in virtually every regard.
Not only was the Eko Atlantic sold out due to the overwhelming attendance of the artiste’s fans, the quality of music that the fans were treated to was also top-notch.
However, what really got the fans who attended the event and indeed the entire social media stratosphere agog was the fact that Davido, not only invited unarguably his greatest rival, Wizkid, up stage to perform with him, but also miraculously managed to get Don Jazzy, D’banj, Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, D’Prince, K-Switch and Ikechukwu – members of the now defunct Mo-Hits Crew – together to wow the audience with a surprise group performance.
Davido exceeded everyone’s expectations by miles!
The superstar however recently took to social media to reveal – to the astonishment of his already super-impressed fans – that he had more in store for them than they got. The ‘Like Dat’ crooner disclosed that the recently separated P-Square brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, were supposed reunite at the concert for a performance.
The MTV EMA Best African Act of 2017 revealed on Snapchat that although the brothers had agreed to perform together at the concert, Paul (RudeBoy) was booked earlier for a show in Calabar and couldn’t make it to the 30 Billion Concert. He however acknowledged that Peter (Mr. P) was present at the show.
Davido went further to assure fans that the Okoye brothers had no issues between them despite their publicly less-than-amicable split.
Davido had this to say:
“Let us preach unity, Psquare were ready to perform but one of them Paul was not present but Peter Okoye was at the show.
“He already had a show which made it impossible for them to perform alongside Mo’hits crew.
“Both guys are lovely guys trust me there is no problem.”
