Paul Okoye Opens Up On Why 2017 Was The Greatest Year Of His Life
The year 2017 witnessed a myriad of massive game changers in the Nigerian entertainment industry, and the ultimate splitting up of the now defunct unarguably most popular R&B duo of identical twin brothers in the whole world, P-square, was definitely one of the biggest shake-ups of the year.
Amidst desperate pleas from their throng of fans all over the world for a reconciliation, the Okoye brothers, Paul and Peter, went their separate ways, seemingly for good this time.
Paul (RudeBoy) and Peter (Mr. P) have however already begun to take giant strides in the industry as solo acts well-deserving of their own individual recognition.
Mr. P has thrilled his fans with his recent hits, ‘Cool It Down’ and ‘For My Head’, while his twin brother, RudeBoy, has done same with bangers – ‘Fire Fire’ and ‘Nkenji Keke’. Die-hard P-Square fans however insist that although the brothers are doing well as solo artistes, they would do much better together.
Paul Okoye has however recently revealed – despite the messy split between himself and his twin brother – why 2017 was the greatest year of his life.
The singer, who collaborated with Grammy-nominated Dancehall King, Timaya, on the critically-acclaimed megahit, ‘Dance’, took to the photo-sharing social media platform, Instagram, to share a picture of his twins, Nadia and Nathan, and announce their birth as the reason for his grateful thoughts about the year 2017.
He captioned the lovely photo thus:
“The reason why 2017 is da greatest year of my life ❤️ Nadia and Nathan ❤️❤️ #doubledouble #amgrateful #happynewyear”
It would be recalled that Paul and his wife Anita welcomed their twin babies who were born in the United States in July.
One can only hope that 2018 turns out to be an even greater year for the brothers, as a good number of their fans remain optimistic about the possibility of a reunion.
