Burna Boy Signs Deal With Universal Music Publishing Group
This definitely looks like the best of time for “Ye” hitmaker, Burna Boy, as he lands a new deal with the Universal Music Publishing Group.
Burna Boy’s addition to the UMPG family comes shortly after Mr. Eazi’s publishing deal and Tekno’s recording deal with the imprint.
This announcement was made known via Universal Music Group’s Instagram page where the Nigerian Urban fusion singer was pictured alongside the label’s A&R Sureeta Nayyar and the VP Creative A&R of Universal Music Publishing Group, Walter Jones who expressed their delight about Burna’s addition to the team on their various social media platforms.
Burna Boy is the latest Nigerian artiste who has penned an international deal following the success garnered from the release of his latest album, Outside, earlier in the year. However, the terms of this new deal has however not specified by the label.
It looks like Burna Boy’s career is on a positive rebirth after all! The “Like To Party” hitmaker has always been in the news for controversial reasons.
However, as of late, it seems like fortunes keep trailing in his wake, especially with the surge in his streaming numbers following the release of Kanye West’s latest album “Ye” and successful shows with his ongoing Life On The Outside Tour.
The deal with Universal Music Publishing Group is a sign that the singer may finally found his balance and is focused on portraying his career in a good light.
Congratulations are in order for Burna Boy, and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments section below about this latest deal landed by Burna Boy.
