Davido Shuts Down Mayotte, France Despite Language Barrier
Talk about artistes who flies the afro-pop banner far and near and Davido jumps to the top of the list. At this point, it is safe to say the love Davido gets from Nigeria is not biased as the pop star as once again flown to the other half of the world where he naturally has no reason to be, just to sing.
MAYOTTE 🇾🇹 THANK YOU FOR TONIGHT ! THAT WAS AMAZING !!

After shutting down Suriname in South America earlier this year, a place many didn’t know of—including Davido, until he was booked for a show there—the serial hit maker over the weekend, on Saturday 27th of October, was on stage in the island of Mayotte, a region of France.
Beyond excited, the “Assurance” crooner took to Instagram to share his experience with his fans, and proudly stating that music is indeed the universal language. That, despite having problem since he and his crew don’t speak the native language in Mayotte, they were still able to connect through music.
The DMW boss is definitely doing something right with his music and we couldn’t be prouder. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
