D’banj Declares Possibility of Mo’ Hits Reunion Concert
It would come as pleasant news to ardent fans of the now defunct Mo’Hits Crew that there is a good chance that the critically acclaimed crew might be reuniting for a major concert.
Mo’hits Crew was founded by multi award winning Nigerian musician D’banj and prolific super music producer Don Jazzy way back in 2004. Subsequently, Wande Coal, D’Prince, Dr SID and Kayswitch joined the crew and together, they released scorching hits such as “Pere” and “Close to You”.
Every member of the crew however went their separate ways in 2012 after the group split up due to irreconcilable differences. While Don Jazzy went on to establish Mavin Records, D’banj set up his own record label, DB Records.
The possibility of a reunion was revealed by D’banj in a recent interview. The “Issa Banger” hit-maker made it known that Mo’Hits Crew could be coming together once more for a reunion concert which would see them tour between 10 and 15 cities, stating that offers for the reunion concerts have already been coming in.
According to D’banj:
“After the 30 Billion Concert, offers have been coming in. We have an offer for Mo’Hits to tour ten or fifteen cities.”
Of course, fans would recall the crew’s reunion performance at Davido’s end of 2017 30 Billion World Tour Lagos Finale which threw the audience into such a frenzy and arguably stole the show.
It would definitely be delightsome if the crew can reunite once more, especially on a tour of such magnitude, to give us that good old Mo’Hits magic once more.
