Runtown Launches Indie Music Company, Sound God Music Group
“Gallardo” crooner, Runtown launched his new music imprint, Sound God Music Group at a launch party in Los Angeles, US where he has been based for a while.
During the event, Runtown stated that “Over time, we have been blessed with the talent and wisdom to apply it to use. It’s time we take it a step higher, and carry the sound and the message to where it belongs; the top”.
According to the singer, Sound God Music Group will be a full music and entertainment company with the sole aim of aim of reshaping music business in Africa, and more.
Runtown, who has over years, laid claim to be a “sound god” has metamorphosed into one of Africa’s biggest musical exports. His label aims to take his music to more markets and certify his sound in the international market.
Alongside launching his label, Runtown has also launched a charity project, titled “WANA – We Are New Africa,” alongside business partners, Ugo Mozie and Ifeanyi Nwune –with the aim of giving back ti the society and increasing the standards of living for the less privileged in rural communities; as well as provision of trainings, and tools for learning.
The launch party had guests like Ugo Mozie, Konshens, KCamp, Anatii, DAPS, Josh Madden, Del’B, Sarz, Asa Asika, and many more in attendance.
The singer was scheduled to drop his new single, “Unleash” on Monday, June 25, but couldn’t as a way of paying tribute to D’banj following the death of his son.
However, the singer’s Twitter account shows that the single has been released yesterday.
