Timaya Finally Reveals Why He Took Back Car From Ex, Empress, 9 Years Later

Timaya finally addresses age-long mystery surrounding an issue his ex-girlfriend, Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah, which had raised different speculations from the public.

Popular OAP Daddy Freeze recently paid a visit to the singer in his Port Harcourt mansion for an exclusive interview. The interview which lasted for over two hours and included a tour of Timaya’s mansion saw the popular actor make some revelations to clarify certain misconceptions.

Speaking on the dispute he had with Empress, Timaya explained what led to his break up with the actress. According to him, the car, a Honda Pilot, which he took back from Empress was actually a gift from a friend for his birthday. He claims he had given Empress money to buy herself a Morano which she said she wanted prior to that.

After they started having problems which stemmed from his ex accusing him of cheating, they finally ended the relationship about three months later. Timaya claimed the lady who gave him the gift asked for the gift back because he gave his then girlfriend and that was what made him take back the car from Empress.

However, Empress refused to hand the car over and that was the reason the story got to the media at all, Timaya told Daddy Freeze.

The singer made it clear that he has moved past the issue seeing that his relationship with Empress ended in 2009, and the only reason he brings it up now his to set the records straight as he doesn’t like what he sees on social media when he is made the archetype for men who takes back gift from women after a breakup.
