Davido Praises the “Wise Investment” of Man he Gave N1 Million

It was promise made and promise fulfilled for David Adeleke, better known by his adopted stage name Davido, as the young man he had promised one million naira eventually got the money.

Davido, who Fiokee featured on “Dumebi,” and who himself released “Wonder Woman” days later, had promised the young man one million during one of his shows.

The young man, the brains behind the “I Call Lati” song, was so excited he couldn’t wait for Davido to fulfill his promise but decided to call him out within hours of having got the promise. He did this via an Instagram video.

This calling out irked some Davido followers, who urged the DMW boss not to redeem his pledge to the young man. Some even told the youngman outright to shut up.

But Davido insisted on keeping his promise, and gave the young the one million naira. Contrary to expectations from some quarters, the young man did no squander the money but got quickly himself a tricycle (popularly called Keke) instead.

Many thought the investment a wise one and have been applauding the young man. Even Davido praised him, writing on Instagram: “Wise investment ! Gbe maruwa eh I think say him go spend d money finish ! Smart dude”
