She is one of the most visible female faces on Nigeria’s music universe, with scores of scorchers to her credit and collaborations with some of the continent’s major voices. In fact, she was recognized last year as one of the Africa stars changing the sound of global pop.
She is no other than Seyi Shay, the “Electric Package” EP mastermind, who Akwaboah had featured on “Dance Floor.”
Only a few fans ae aware that bSeyi Shay had in fact made it to France 24, a major station in France, to promote her single “Gimme Love,” which featured Runtown. She had a warm reception at the studio of France 24 and ended up wooing almost everyone there.
Her outing was impressive and would certainly encourage many to buy the song and of course search out whatever else she had released so far. Talking about her releases, she has “Ko Ma Roll,” featuring Tanzania’s Harminize, “Surrender,” featuring Kizz Daniel and DJ Neptune, and several others to her credit.
She had featured on Dr Sid’s “Deep Down,” Adekunle Gold’s “Delilah’s Tale,” DJ Ice Cream’s “Up NEPA” (alongside Mr Real) to mention a few.
