Adekunle Gold’s Father Dead after a Brief Illness

“Before You Wake Up” mastermind Adekunle Gold is not happy at the moment. The songster has just lost his father Prince Hakeem Adeyemi Kosoko to illness which at the moment is undisclosed.

The late Prince Hakeem Adeyemi Kosoko was said to have been ill for some time and was reputedly flown out of the country for treatment and then back to Nigeria to recuperate. Also, before his death he was said to be a permanent secretary in the ministry of education in a state not disclosed.

Up to this point Adekunle Gold has been mum about his father’s passing. It is public speculation that he is yet to process the tragedy of his father’s passing as he had a deep bond with him before his death.

However, Adekunle Gold fans have come out in full force on social media, condoling their star and wishing him the strength to bear the loss.

The death comes as an icy slap on the face of a good year for the singer, who recently got married to fellow singer Simi and has had a string of successful releases already.
