Former YBNL Artiste, Xino Calls Olamide Immature and Inexperienced

Former YBNL artiste, Xino

Former YBNL artiste Xino, real name Benjamin Chinedu has lambasted his former boss Olamide, aka ‘Baddoo’ in a recent interview, indicating that the end of their work relationship is near.

Chinedu minced no words in the interview and attacked Baddoo from all sides calling him immature and inexperienced to handle the upcoming artists of the country’s expanding music industry.

Chinedu believes that executives like Baddoo need to up their game and understanding of the industry if they are to create real stars for the future.

According to him:

YBNL management and other labels in Nigeria need to adopt an entrepreneurial system that focuses on artiste development

He left Baddoo’s record label YBNL and since then there have been speculation that he may have committed professional suicide because of that.

He dispels such rumours that he may have hurt himself and his future in the process. According to him he is engaged in other money-making options in addition to music and he would proceed with even if he doesn’t find the right record label company that is not at odds with his plans for the future.

He is here to enjoy the music and he never asked to be signed to the YNBL in the first place. YNBL approached him according to his statements and he left as soon as he realized that their approach was not to make stars but something else.

Olamide, YBNL Boss

He is a big fan of how Jay-Z and Beyonce have become such stars in the United States. He is especially impressed by the handling of the couple’s affairs by Jay-Z. Their PR and strategy is really good.

He calls the American singer and performer the “Boss” in the business because of his popularity and approach to stardom.

Much of the venom coming from his side is really emotional. It is clear to see that the singer is clearly concerned about the future of the industry and the approach of the music labels in the country.

He believes they all jump to the next sensation and never stop and appreciate what they need to develop. All this anger had to be vented.
