Kendrick Lamar Tops MTV VMAs Nominations With 8 Nods (See Full List)

MTV has announced the nominees for its Video Music Awards (VMAs). The announcement came via Instagram Live on Tuesday, 25th July.

Of the announced list, American rapper and songwriter, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth scored the most nominations of any artist and is in the running in eight categories.

Lamar was closely followed by Canadian singer, The Weekend and American songbird, Katy Perry, who both scored five nominations each.

The award is scheduled to take place on August 27 and it will showcase artists who have distinguished themselves within the period in consideration.
