There’s nothing stopping the shine of global music sensation, Wizkid, right now. The latest news from the stables of the “Ojuelegba” crooner is that his recently released “Sounds From The Other Side” album has now debuted at #73 on Billboard Top Album Sales Chart.
On the same chart, Daddy Yo is competing with other global stars including Adele‘s “25” on 72, as well as Mary J.Blige‘s “Strength Of A Woman” on 74. In fact, the album is doing well overall sitting at #14 on R&B Albums, #24 for Digital Albums, #47 for R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
Well, this isn’t much of a surprise really. His latest project of musical art packs the feature of heavyweights including Chris Brown, Drake, Ty Dolla $ign, Major Lazer and others.
Plus, he is on the billing to perform at some of the shows on Future‘s “Future Hndrxx Tour”. The American rapper also revealed they have both worked on songs together that will be released in the near future.
Wizkid is also collaborating soon with Damian Marley, award-winning son of Reggae icon, Bob Marley, as well as Kenyan Afro pop band, Sauti Sol. He just enjoyed a sold out concert in the East African nation as well.
With his roll of successes, it is only a matter of when and not if Wizkid brings home the coveted Grammy Award.
