After several weeks of treatment for Coronavirus, Nigerian Superstar Davido’s wife to be Chioma has now recovered.
Chioma had tested positive for the highly infectious virus on March 28.
While announcing that his fiance had tested positive, Davido had noted that she had not shown any signs of the virus.
“We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March.
Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever,” read part of the Facebook post dated March 28
But according to a recent post by Davido on his social media pages, his fiance has now fully recovered.
“Glory be to God .. Chioma has now tested negative twice for Covid19 … Thank you all for prayers… We love you ..,” Davido tweeted on Sunday night.
Chioma together with her son and Davido were tested after returning to Nigeria.
Despite the fiance testing positive, Davido and Son had tested negative.
She had been in London with the son while Davido had returned to Nigeria from the United States.
News for the recovery of Chioma comes at a time the number of cases for Coronavirus is on the rise in Nigeria.
As on Sunday, statistics provided by the government indicated that there were 627 confirmed Coronavirus cases of which 170 have recovered.
So far there are 21 confirmed Coronavirus related deaths in Nigeria.
