D’banj, Don Jazzy Confirm Mo’Hits Reunion Tour

A few days ago, we brought it to your attention that multi award winning Nigerian Afropop superstar D’banj revealed in an interview that a Mo’Hits Crew reunion was in the works.

We’re glad to inform you now that plans for the tour are definitely in motion as both D’banj and his erstwhile partner, Mavin Records head honcho Don Jazzy have both officially announced the reunion tour of the now defunct crew.

As you already know, fans of the crew which dominated the Nigerian music scene while it existed have been clamouring for the group (founders D’banj and Don Jazzy specifically) to reunite.

That sentiment was only further heightened after all the members of the crew reunited for an epic performance at Davido’s mega successful end of 2017 30 Billion World Tour Lagos Finale and threw the audience into such a frenzy.

It would seem that the god of music has hearkened unto the pleas of ardent Mo’Hits fans as both Don Jazzy and D’banj took to their Instagram pages this week to announce to their fans and followers that the reunion was indeed going to happen.

It was the two time MTV EMA winner, D’banj who first posted a short video from one of the crew’s previous concerts where they performed the mega smash hit “Mo Gbono Feli Feli” to announce that the Mo’Hits Reunion Tour was coming soon.

In the clip’s caption, D’banj tagged Don Jazzy, asking him if the fans were ready for the tour. The superstar captioned the post thus: “@donjazzy Are they ready?”

The critically-acclaimed music producer Don Jazzy posted the same video a few hours after and captioned his “@iambangalee How many states/countries should we give them?”

Among the myriads of comments on both posts by fans and fellow celebrities showing their enthusiasm and anticipation for the tour which many again expressed that they had been praying for, D’banj left a comment on Don Jazzy’s video that has left everyone all the more excited.

Although the dates and venues for the tour have not been announced yet, in response to Don Jazzy’s caption, D’banj commented that they could very well have a world tour with a minimum of 50 shows across 30 cities, spending up to two years on the road.

Though we can’t tell just yet how serious D’banj was with his comment, just like everyone else, we can’t wait to get the official details of the highly anticipated tour. Of course, we’ll keep you updated as events unfold.
