29 year old Tanzanian music industry leading lady, Vanessa Mdee, has finally come through for her fans with her highly-anticipated sophomore album titled ‘Money Mondays’, and we can categorically confirm that the album – which we’ve been expecting since December – is a blast!
Since the release of her spectacularly successful debut solo single, ‘Closer’ – which broke records with its over 30,000 learn mores in just its first week – the Tanzanian recording artist, songwriter, youth activist, TV and radio host (who is popularly known for being the first ever Tanzanian MTV VJ) has no doubt established herself across the continent as one of Africa’s finest female Afropop artistes, not just with her features on songs such as ‘Vitamin U’, ‘No Mind Dem’ and ‘Beautiful JESUS’, but also on her own hit songs like ‘Bounce’, ‘Juu’, ‘Cash Madame’, ‘Nobody But Me’, and ‘Kisela’, all of which we see on the brand new album.
The 17-track body of work (including 2 bonus tracks) sees the award-winning Bongo Flava songstress collaborate with several African music industry heavyweights such as Cassper Nyovest, Mr P of the now defunct music duo – P-Square, Radio and Weasel and Reekado Banks, as she exhibits her remarkable versatility on ‘Money Mondays’.
