2Baba Pleads For Government Response To Benue Crisis

Having dominated the world of music and even earning legendary status, Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba simply transcended into the world of musical greats as he became a social crusader and revolutionary.
As one of the few Nigerian entertainers who use their platform to try to effect change as well as inspire a better world for all, 2Face recently stopped his performance at the recently held SoundCity MVP Awards to advocate for the cause of indigenous farmers in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, who have been victims of senseless killings by Fulani herdsmen.
In his message, 2Baba asked the government to intervene and stop the killings in Benue, which incidentally is also his home state. This is not the first time the “African Queen” hitmaker has lent his voice to such issues of national importance.
He was at the forefront of the campaign for relief for victims of the unfortunate Benue floods in 2017 as well as being an Ambassador for the betterment of inmates at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps mostly dominant in the country’s troubled North East.
2Baba was also at the vanguard of the planned nationwide protests against the government and state of the Nigerian nation in February 2017 before he eventually pulled out of the planned actions. It has rumoured several powerful forces were at play and the reason behind his resignation as the leader of the movement.
We only hope 2Face Idibia‘s message this time to the government resonates and that security apparatuses are put in place to ensure the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians not just in Benue State; but across the entire country.
