Simi Signs International Endorsement Deal With Opera Mini

Hot on the heels of her long-time collaborator, Adekunle Gold’s recent Unity Bank endorsement, X3M Music superstar and prolific Nigerian songstress and songwriter, Simi, has just bagged a massive endorsement deal with popular browser, Opera Mini, and has been named the brand’s ambassador in Nigeria.

The mobile web browser, Opera Mini, was developed by the Opera Software AS company, and was primarily designed for the Java ME platform. It has however now been developed exclusively for Android and iOS.

Simi, who had a fantastic 2017 with the release of her masterpiece of an album, ‘Simisola’, the success of her ‘See Me Live’ Headline Concert, and her AFRIMA 2017 Songwriter of the Year win, couldn’t hide her excitement about kicking off 2018 on such a fantastic note.

As a brand ambassador for the popular web browser, Simi will be keeping Nigerians informed about the latest Opera products such as Opera News – the news app from Opera which offers tailor made content for readers of both local and international news.

Simi had this to say about the endorsement deal:

“I’m delighted to be working with such an exciting brand as Opera, helping them introduce Opera News to Nigeria and reminding everyone how awesome Opera Mini is.

“I had a great year in 2017 personally and to start this new one with this collaboration is so exciting. I’m doing lots of projects with Opera over the coming months, so watch this space.”

With this juicy endorsement deal, Simi follows in the footsteps of Chelsea FC superstar, Victor Moses, who was an ambassador for the browser in 2017. The endorsement deal Moses signed was reported worth about $100,000, so we have an idea just how rewarding this deal must be for Simi as well.

While congratulations are in order for the ‘Joromi’ singer, we honestly can’t wait to see what else Simi surprises us with this year. We’re pretty sure there’s a lot more on its way.
