On the heels of the massively successful 2017 which the sensational DJ Kaywise had with the release of his smash hits, ‘Caro’ and Informate’ featuring industry favourites Tekno, Falz and Tiwa Savage, the superstar DJ had his rather impressive fanbase in earnest anticipation of the third edition of his JOOR Concert.

This year’s edition held on Saturday, the 27th of January 2018 at the Abesan Mini Stadium Alimosho, Ipaja, Lagos and had virtually all the big names in the industry such as Olamide, Falz, Tekno, Mayorkun, Yung6ix, Kiss Daniel, Harrysong, Reekado Banks, Small Doctor, Niniola, Saeon, Dammy Krane, Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Phyno, Illbliss, Aramide, Ice Prince, Patoranking, Oriste Femi, Yemi  Alade , Tiwa Savage , Solidstar, Navio, Humble Smith, Kcee, Selebobo, and Vector among a host of others billed to perform.

To make it an even bigger deal, DJ Kaywise also invited a host of other DJs such as DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ Spinall and DJ Xclusive to keep the party going.

It has however been reported that the JOOR Concert 3 didn’t exactly go as planned, as the event was negatively impacted by a sudden breakout of violence which hindered artistes such as Olamide, Tiwa Savage and Lil Kesh from performing.

Lil Kesh – Baby Favour

According to eye-witness reports, Tiwa Savage was ready to perform when the said violence broke out from nowhere. The atmosphere at the mini stadium was suddenly overcome with tear gas and sporadic gun shots. This, of course, caused the Mavin Records first lady to retreat and quickly exit the event venue.

Olamide and Lil Kesh were said to have arrived the mini stadium just about the time when the commotion was at its maximum, and therefore had to drive away as well, unable to perform.

Reports have it that a significant number of fans were injured during the ruckus, the cause of which is still yet to be confirmed.
