The Industry Needs More Song Writers, We Have Too Many Artistes – Don Jazzy

Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy has lent his voice to an issue that many have been complaining about for a while now: the dearth of good lyrics in the industry. Well, not exactly like that but he complained about a lack of song writers.

Too many times, we’ve had cause to see questions about what some fans call meaningless music trend on social media. So many times, some artists just string mumbo-jumbo together and push it out and bam, it’s what we all have to listen to. But while those songs may have gone on to become hits, it still doesn’t change the fact that the industry is in dire need of good song writers and who better to address this elephant in the room than a music mogul like Don Jazzy.

After raising the issue, Don Jazzy had gone on to say that he was working on a solution that will not only solve the problem, but that will elevate song writers to a place where they can even get to make more money than the singers themselves.

With this, it is expected that other artists will step up their games or begin to take their lyrics seriously especially when the issue is being raised by a high profile person like Don Jazzy.

It’s still too early to predict what form this will take but we are excited as this can only mean something good is about to hit the music industry.
