Looks like 2018 has a lot of goodies for Nigerian artistes. One of such is Banku Music boss, Mr Eazi who is going from one international deal to another as he announces a new deal with the mother of all labels – Columbia Records UK.
Months ago, the Afro Beat Singer, Mr. Eazi, signed a record deal with Mad Decent owned by DJ Diplo of Major Lazer; and now, the singer had recently penned a licensing deal with Universal Africa.
The “Leg Over” crooner made this revelation via his Instagram handle where he announced that his label Banku Music signed a licensing deal with Universal Africa for his forthcoming project Life Is Eazi Vol. 2: Lagos to London, exclusive to Africa.
The singer has enjoyed a successful career since the release of his Accra to Lagos EP which contains hit songs like ‘Hol’ Up’ and ‘Leg Over’. He followed it up with a successful world tour, before moving on to become Apple’s Up Next Artist.
In a bid to export African music globally, Mr. Eazi has performed on platforms like The Late Late show, Sounds like Friday and Sunday Brunch.
His new deal with Columbia Records UK is coming shortly after his announcement of his new project Lagos to London (with a tentative date of May 23, 2018) which will obviously be an extension of his Accra to Lagos EP.
