Still riding hot on the fame and success recorded from the recently held Afrorepublik Festival, Nigeria’s International Starboy, Wizkid, has revealed that he will be dropping a new album sometime this year and there’s no stopping him because he has no time to say much to anybody. Wizkid revealed that the title of his upcoming album is ‘Made In Lagos’.
The “Manya” hitmaker made this revelation while speaking with DJ Tim Westwood in the UK. According to the Starboy boss, no other artistes would be featured on the album apart from him.
“The new album is called Made in Lagos, Wizkid Made in Lagos; 10 tracks, no features just straight Wizkid” says the Nigerian hitmaker.
When asked about his folks in Surulere, the pop icon said going back to his place of upbringing makes him feel good as he always try to inspire others.
He said “Every time I go back, I’m always in my hood. I like to hang out with them, let them feel me and know that it’s not magic. If I can do it then you can. I like to inspire the kids.”
Wizkid also hinted on his upcoming collaboration with Skepta saying “My collaboration with Skepta is also in the works, it will drop very soon. I don’t want to say anything more on that.”
Wizkid’s last project ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ which was released last year featured A-list artistes like Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Drake, Major Lazer, Efya, amongst others.
