Wizkid, Femi Kuti, Tiwa & D’banj To Perform With Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran & More
Star Boy, Wizkid, Mavin Records queen, Tiwa Savage, Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti, and Sony Music Entertainment act, Dbanj are some of the Nigerian artistes that will be performing at the Mandela 100 Global Citizen Festival happening December 2018 in South Africa.
The highflying Nigerian artists will perform alongside JayZ, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Cassper Nyovest, etc.
The festival, held in honour of late South African activist and President, Nelson Mandela is meant to inspire social activism, using celebrities around the world as a point of contact in the festival’s mission to touch and inspire as many lives as possible.
Celebrated media personality, Oprah Winfrey will also be at a festival that marks the end of a yearlong collaboration between the festival organisers and the House of Mandela.
One of the artists billed to perform, D’Banj had lost his infant son to a swimming pool mishap with condolences flowing in from all over. Highly respected in the industry, D’banj sang the theme song “Top of the World” for the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
Another artist billed to perform at the festival is Beyonce who has been rumoured to be pregnant with another child with fans worrying if that will affect her performance at the festival.
