Starboy Jersey Re-released October 1

Nigeria’s Afro-pop sensation Wizkid has long shown that he is not only a fine musician but a fine businessman as well. He is a winner not only in the world of music, but in the world of business as well.

We got a glimpse of this truth only recently, when his Starboy jersey, released in collaboration with sportswear giant Nike, sold out in10 minutes.

Those who missed out the first time may have the chance to grab some of the jerseys this time, as the rapper planned to – and has in fact released – the Starboy jersey on October 1. The re-releasing seems appropriate, as it coincides with Nigeria’s independence day.

Wizkid himself took to Instagram to show that it was indeed intended to honour Nigeria, his country of birth.

He wrote “Due to popular demand!!! Nike x Starboy re-releasing limited jerseys 1st of October celebrating Nigerian independence day ???????? lets go??????”

The relieve that swept through the world of Wizkid fans was indeed massive. The waiting is over and the jerseys are here. The fans may as well look forward to the opening of the rapper’s pop up shops across the country in December.

For Wizkid, it is one large stride after another. In the interim, before the opening of the pop up shops across the country, his fans can grab the Starboy jersey and dance to his recently released songs – “Fever” and “Master Groove.”
