Nigerian music star and actor Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W took the stage at the recently held TEDxLagos as he spoke on issues really touching the heart of Nigeria and Nigerians as the 2019 elections draw nearer.

The Empire Mates Entertainment honcho who has ruled the music scene in Nigeria and Africa for years turns to the youths in the country as he urges them to take more active roles in nation building.

Banky W, who had a successful skin cancer surgery on his shoulder last year in the US also mentioned how there is no world-standard health institution in Nigeria.

The multiple award-winning singer emphasised that in order to change the status quo of the nation’s polity, the first step is to register to vote as he reminded the audience that “power belongs to the people.”

The co-star of the blockbuster 2016 movie, The Wedding Party then outlined some other areas that individuals can contribute and make positive changes in the country.
