Burna Boy Awarded by 02 Academy, Brixton for His Sold Out Show

Burna Boy is definitely one of the underrated greats on the Nigerian music scene and the recent massive success of his concert, Burna Boy ‘Live in London’ held at The 02 Academy, Brixton is more than enough proof of that.

On 7 October the afro-fusion star whose real name is Damini Ogulu shutdown his sold out concert at the Brixton Academy 02 Arena in London, a feat for which he has received an award from the Academy Music Group (AMG), the leading owner-operator of music venues in the United Kingdom.

Burna Boy’s Plaque

The plaque was in recognition of his sold-out show as well as for putting up a brilliant and safe performance.

And, we agree that Burna Boy was well-deserving of this honour as a video circulated on social media just after the concert showing the audience singing to Burna Boy’s global hit song “YE” from beginning to the end without OluwaBurna singing a word of it.

The reggae singer took to his social media account to share pictures of the latest milestone in his career with fans.

The concert at the O2 Academy was the fourth stop on Burna Boy’s ‘Life on the Outside UK’ tour, and he is expected to perform at Southampton this weekend.
