Yung6ix Accepts Nigeria’s Rap “GOAT” Tag

“Everything Gucci” mastermind Yung6ix is one rapper who thinks very highly of himself, although he may not have been strutting the streets and saying that. And no, he doesn’t think it would be immodest of him to accept being called the greatest (artiste) of all time (GOAT).

A Twitter fan going by the handle @EdogunChris had taken to Twitter to praise the genius of  Onome Onokohwomo,  long famous by his adopted stage name Yung6ix,  and ended up by calling him the greatest of time.

He tweeted: “best believe no rapper in naija has put in more wrk than @yung6ix in the last seven years… the guy deserves alot of credit… he is the most complete rapper in the country in terms of lyrics, metaphors, wordplay, delivery, punchline etc! Yung6ix is naija carter! GOAT.”

Yung6ix apparently got drunk on this adulatory note and not only shared it on Twitter, where it originated, but on Instagram as well, adding the following words as caption: “Some are scared to face the truth because they hate the view. I appreciate every fan out there #Facts.”

Although the GOAT tag is the verdict of one man, who is neither a renowned music critic nor a music legend, it just might spur Yung6ix to leap into a new universe, the universe of the finest artistes in Africa. He has had some great jumps, if one must say, with past songs such as “Ina The Benz” and “I Pray,” featuring Oritse Femi.
