Davido Disregards Vice-President Osinbajo At Felabration, Declares His Uncle Osun State Governor

The grand finale of Felabration 2018 was definitely the highlight of the week-long celebration of the legendary singer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti as Davido and the DMW crew stormed the stage for an epic performance.

However, what really got everyone talking was Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, announced midway through his performance that his uncle Senator Ademola Adeleke as the rightful governor of Osun State.

The popular pop singer took a break as he said, “I want to give a shout-out to His Excellency, Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State”.

If you recall, the Osun gubernatorial election which held last month led to a rerun which saw the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola emerge as the winner over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke.

While the PDP has taken rejected the result, taking the case to the Tribunal, it seems, Davido is insistent and not backing down, since his uncle won on the first run.

The “Assurance” crooner showed that he stands by his words despite the presence of Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of Nigeria and member of the opposing party, APC.

The serial hitmaker was, however, not the only one to talk politics at the event. Singer Omawunmi called out President Buhari who running for office come 2019 as well as the PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Femi Kuti as well expressed how he can’t in good conscience support VP Osinbajo in the coming election.
