DMW Bags 6 Awards At 2018 City People Awards

Since the beginning of the year, the DMW crew have been on a scorching streak, with the head of the clan, Davido, making the headlines. Well, as the year runs to an end, the reward of their labour is finally coming in as the prestigious record label bagged six awards at the recently held City People Award.

 

There is no way we’ll talk about the exploits worked in the music industry this year and one of the Davido Music Worldwide members won’t be named.

From Davido’s smash hit single “Assurance” to FreshVDM’s effort on DJ ECool’s “Ada” with Davido to the gang’s “ Aje” and “AZA” to Peruzzi’s collaboration with 2Baba on the anthem “Amaka” to Dremo’s highly acclaimed project, Codename Vol. 1 as well as Mayorkun’s “Posh”, we see that the crew has been busy all year round.

And, as artistes from all over the country gather at the 2018 edition of the City People Award to celebrate the beautiful works of art that we’ve seen this year, the 30 Billion Gang won the day.

Davido’s manager, Asa Asika won the award for Artiste’s Manager of the Year, Peruzzi bagged the award for Rookie of the Year, FreshVDM, the best Music Producer, Dremo’s Codename Vol. 1 (EP) won in the Best Rap Album category and Mayorkun took home the Artiste of the Year award.

And of course, to crown it all, the Davido-led team received the Best Record Label of the Year and promised fans and all well wishers that more is coming.
