Burna Boy, Mr Eazi Invited to Perform at 2019 Coachella

Good news! “Ye” crooner, Burna Boy and “Dabebi” crooner, Mr Eazi have been invited to perform at the highly respected Coachella music festival, touted as the biggest music festival in the world.

Last year, Wizkid was invited to perform but could not as he said he had delays with flight but two Nigerians went ahead to perform alongside Beyonce during her performance at last year’s festival.

Burna Boy had one of the best years in his career as an artiste with back to back hit songs and a reputation that just could not stop growing. In fact, at the Burna Live concert held December last year, 2Baba declared that contrary to what MTV Base released, that Burna Boy‘s “Ye” is actually the biggest song of 2018.

Mr Eazi too had a hell of a year with songs trending left and right and his “Lagos to London” project finally getting released and making sense. Not to mention the streaming his songs got last year and well, the invitation is well deserved.

But there have been controversies around the invitation to perform too as Burna Boy has complained to Coachella that he has issues with the font his name is written in. Whichever way, we still expect both artistes to perform at the festival and of course, they will deliver.

What are your thoughts on the invitation? Do you agree with Burna Boy‘s expressed concerns?
