“No One is Doing Any Work” – 2Baba Slams NBC

Legendary Nigerian singer, 2Baba has hit out at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation over its seeming incapability to handle bad songs and nip them in the bud before it airs.

Speaking on this, 2Baba said in an interview with E-Daily“the crap music all over the place now is because the gate keepers play good songs when people are asleep at night; when there is no one to listen to the music. So if you do that kind of music and you take it to the radio and they refuse to play it, what do you do? And most of the financial back up artistes get is from people who want to make their money back immediately.”

2Baba whose song, “Amaka” was recently described by aggrieved former label mate, Blackface as stupid blamed the NBC for allowing bad songs to infiltrate the Nigerian music airwaves.

In his words, “Before NBC is able to ban any music, it has gone popular already. That means they didn’t even hear it on time in the first place. It’s after the song has gone viral that they will want to ban it. No one is doing any work.”

It will be recalled that last year, the censorship board brought down the hammer on songs by Olamide, Falz, Wande Coal and more which drew criticism from them.

What do you think? Do you think 2Baba is referring to anyone in particular? Let us know in the comments section.
