Olamide Clinches Committee Appointment in Ogun State
Nigerian rapper Olamide has just been appointed member of the Ogun State Economic Transition Committee by the governor-elect Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun. Olamide‘s appointment was made public in a circular issued by the government.
The Ogun State Economic Transition Committee was put together by the governor-elect to facilitate economic growth ensure a proper working of committees prior to handover to the governor-elect.
Among the committee’s inaugurated are special projects, ease of doing business, agriculture and food safety, commerce and industry, government processes, governance and structures, education, youth and sport, health and social services, physical infrastructure and finance.
Olamide and other committee members are expected to resume work as soon as the governor-elect is sworn in.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in from around the world for the YBNL boss since his appoint was made public. Twitter, Instagram… the congratulatory messages are everywhere.
This is Olamide‘s first political appointment. The world is watching to see how he would perform. It remains to be seen how he will combine his role as a musician and that of a political appointee.
