Kenya Taking Over! Sauti Sol’s Road To “Afrikan Sauce”

At the end of 2017, award winning Kenyan band and #1 band in East Africa; Sauti Sol begun a journey to global takeover! Afrikan Sauce is an LP due at the end of the year as a body of work but the band doesn’t plan to let fans wait that long to get a taste, and so in a stylish strategic way, they have set out to release one single (audio and visuals) each month.

They begun with Melanin featuring Patoranking which now sits at over 6.1 million views on YouTube (5.2 of this was reached in under one month) and in the top 11 Video on SA TV charts (radio monitor).

In the last month Melanin shone bright, sitting on #45 in the Nigerian iTunes Charts, #50 in Ghana charts and #1 Kenya for 6 weeks in a row and over 1million streams across all platforms. Get it here

Next stop after Melanin was Girl Next Door featuring Tiwa Savage sitting at 1.2M views on YouTube. 1M of these views in was reached in just 16 days and trended at #1 for weeks.
